Dr. James Wylde
President & CEO
Dr. James Wylde is an experienced team leader and program manager. Most recently, he was the Manager for Business Development at Bubble Technology Industries in Chalk River, Ontario, a company specializing in radiation detection instrumentation. Prior to that, he was the Vice President for Business Development at 1st Detect Corp., a spin-out company in Houston TX commercializing a line of mass spectrometer products based on technology from the space program.
He has cultivated and managed teams including program & project management, sales & marketing, and applications chemistry. He has extensive experience building teams and leading projects which resulted in bringing successful new products to market for both small and large companies. He received his Ph.D. from Dalhousie University, Masc from the University of Toronto, and BEng from the Technical University of Nova Scotia.

Darren MAcLeod

Chief Operating and Chief Financial Officer

Darren MacLeod is a highly accomplished entrepreneur with a track record of success in the technology industry. He most recently co-founded and built Social Navigator Inc (a SAAS company) from concept to market acceptance. Before this, he was part of the Radian6 team, a social media monitoring platform for marketers to gain real-time insights into customer sentiment regarding their products. In 2011, Salesforce acquired Radian6 for ~$350M.
Darren has a demonstrated ability to lead hyper-growth initiatives in emerging markets, showcasing his competence in steering product market fit while achieving key performance indicators (KPIs) that support growth capital investment, resulting in correspondingly increasing enterprise value. His academic background includes a business degree from Acadia University, with majors in Accounting and Finance.
Paul Phillips
Chief Sales and Chief Product Officer

Paul is an accomplished sales and marketing executive with over 20 years of progressive experience driving growth and fostering high-performing sales and support teams in dynamic industries including medical device, life sciences, marine, ocean sciences, defense, and most recently with a leading global OEM equipment provider in the consumer, industrial, and medical packaging field.
Paul has expertise in negotiating complex international, high-value contracts, with a strong focus on relationship building and customer-centric strategies. With a proven track record of developing and executing strategic initiatives that optimize market penetration and profitability, while ensuring seamless integration and customer satisfaction throughout the product lifecycle, Paul is passionate about driving organizational success through collaboration, teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Manager, Software and Data Science
Laith is a versatile professional with a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Dalhousie University and an IT Web Programming Diploma from NSCC. With a foundation in scientific inquiry and two years of experience in UI/UX design, Laith seamlessly integrates his expertise to drive innovation. Laith excels in developing intuitive interfaces and software solutions that blend functionality with aesthetics, leveraging his analytical mindset and programming proficiency to tackle complex challenges across various domains.

Luke murphy
Manager, Research and Development
Luke Murphy is the Manager, Research & Development for Greenlight Analytical. Luke has over 10 years of experience in chemical research settings both in academia and in the pharmaceutical industry, during which time he gained experience with a plethora of analytical instrumentation. His academic research interests were focused on green chemistry and the chemistry of carbon dioxide. His educational background includes both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Saint Mary’s University as well as a Ph.D. in chemistry from Dalhousie University

Luke Murphy is the Manager, Research & Development for Greenlight Analytical. Luke has over 10 years of experience in chemical research settings both in academia and in the pharmaceutical industry, during which time he gained experience with a plethora of analytical instrumentation. His academic research interests were focused on green chemistry and the chemistry of carbon dioxide. His educational background includes both a B.Sc. and M.Sc. from Saint Mary’s University as well as a Ph.D. in chemistry from Dalhousie University
Ryan Johnson
Software Engineer
Ryan Johnson is a talented Software Engineer at Greenlight Analytical. After completing an internship with GLA in 2024, Ryan recently rejoined the company in a full-time position. With previous experience in information technology and UI/UX development, Ryan brings a strong technical background and a focus on delivering a user-friendly product. Ryan graduated in 2025 with a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science and a minor in Business Administration from Montana State University.

Muhammed holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Co-operative Education from Acadia University and has hands-on experience in both industrial research and analytical chemistry. Onur kucuk
Instrumentation Engineer
Onur Kucuk is an Electrical Engineer (EIT) at Greenlight Analytical, bringing a diverse background in electronic design and embedded systems. A graduate of Dalhousie University’s Electrical Engineering program, Onur has worked on a wide range of technologies, from designing real-time data acquisition systems for industrial IoT sensors to developing automation tools and firmware for advanced embedded platforms. His hands-on experience with PCB design, RTOS-based systems, and hardware-software integration positions him as a key contributor to Greenlight’s mission of advancing precision agriculture and real-time testing technologies.
Before joining Greenlight, Onur held engineering positions in predictive maintenance, solar cell instrumentation, and mobile software for emergency response. His work has spanned industries such as energy, construction, research, and IT support, giving him a multidisciplinary perspective and strong problem-solving acumen. With a passion for sustainability, innovation, and practical engineering, Onur supports Greenlight’s technical team in pushing the boundaries of agricultural analytics.

She managed a network of over 1000 members, 50 sponsors, corporate members, and industrial partners.

Mr. Kay retired from Boston Scientific in 2006, where he was group Vice President of New Market Development/Strategic Planning, Endosurgery, Prior to joining BSC, he was based in the UK for 5 years as senior Vice President, sales and Marketing for Allergan Europe, a global eye care company. Henry served on the Boards of several start up health care companies, including Smart Cells (sold to Merck in 2010), Cool Systems (also sold) and Microfluidics, a public company in the equipment space for pharmaceutical manufacture (sold to IDEX in 2010). He currently serves as a board member of Cristcot Medical, and Cannuflow. Henry works closely with the Canadian Consulate in Boston to mentor several Canadian startups including Salutech, a start up in the AFib space.
